Lunch with the ladies

When I went home this weekend, me and E had lunch with Val, Amber, and Shelby. It was great to see them!! They are such awesome girls and I am so glad we are still friends and that they get to see E grow up. He loves his aunties!!!

My Little Reader

So lately E has been into books (I'm not complaining...I love it!!) He will pick a book and sit there and look and flip the pages. It's so cute :)

Ft. Lauderdale to see Aunt Natalie and Uncle Ronnie

This weekend, we went down and spent time with Aunt Natalie and Uncle Ronnie. We went to the beach, played, and ate some yummy food. E had such a great time with his Aunt Natalie!!!! It was an awesome weekend!!

My New Playhouse

A woman I work with, Ms. Elledge, was selling her grandkids playground and I jumped at the opportunity to get it. E loves it!!! He especially likes it when we put the slide part into the pool and he can slide right in the water.

Yum!

Yum!! I love my toes!!!

Going Paleo (kinda)

I made my first ever paleo dinner. It was an Asian chicken stir fry with cauliflower rice. I loved it!! I don't want to go completely paleo, but just a few meals. Other nights we will be eating clean :) (for the most part lol)

I heart Mickey!

E loves Mickey Mouse. Everything about him; his voice, the hot dog dance, and when he introduces toodles. We went home this past weekend and on the way back, I picked up a Mickey DVD at Target (I only went there for that...came out with about 5 things lol). I picked us up Jimmy Johns for lunch and he dined on that while watching his fave character :)

FaceTime

We FaceTime with both of our parents so they can see E. He loves seeing them, but now he wants to hold the iPad. He's going through a "I want to do everything myself" stage and has a melt down when you help him. Tonight he was able to hold the iPad himself.

Uncle Viggy

Our friend Viggy came over for dinner last night and E loved him!! They played together and looked for kitties. They were super cute together :)

Discovery House

There is this super cool place in Avondale  called the Discovery House. It's a couple of sensory rooms where kids can go and play. E loved it!!

E is 15 Months!!

Where does the time go?!?! E is 15 months already. He weighs 25.7 pounds (50th percentile), 32 inches tall (75 percentile), 19 inches head (75 percentile). He's doing great!! Loves most food, although we feel like he eats more fruits and veggies, which we are fine with. He is teething a lot which is a joy!! Lol. He enjoys milk and had a very easy transition from the bottle to the sippy cup. E is great and life is good!!

Heather's 30th Birthday!!

We went to Painting with a Twist for my friend Heather's 30th birthday. It was so much fun!!! We painted "A Night in Paris." My painting wasn't that good, but we had a GREAT time!!!

Eddy and Cam, BFF

My friend Gina has a little boy who is 3 months younger than E. They go to the same daycare and are so cute together!! Awhile back we went over to their houses help make decorations for Cam's 1st birthday. E had a blast!! (And made himself quite at home)

Basil-lime Chicken

So we have been trying to eat clean, as well as eat healthy (for the most part lol). We had been just grilling chicken, veggies, and cooking brown rice. I found this recipe on Pinterest for Basil-lime chicken and its delicious!! Try it out! We had enough for left overs :)

3-4 chicken breasts
3 scallions, cut
3 tbs. organic Dijon mustard
3 tbs. Worcestershire sauce
3 tbs lite soy sauce
Zest and juice of 2 lines
Salt and pepper

Combine ingredients and marinade for an hour before grilling.

While chicken is grilling, combine:

2 scallions, cut
1/4 cup olive oil
Zest and juice of 1 lime
3 tbs cut basil
3 tbs lite soy sauce

Once chicken is done, cut into slices and pour sauce over it!!
