Still my Baby

Even though he's a big boy (according to him), he's still our baby :)

These 2

E and Caroline are besties! Sometimes they love each and the next minute they are rolling on the ground. Lol. She adores him and vice versa. Every once in awhile I catch a sweet moment and it makes my heart melt :)

MyLittle Helper

Caroline likes to help (sometimes makes more of a mess) with some things. She will dust with our swifter duster and put items into the dryer when I am loading it.

It's that time of Year!

So I know it's early, but we made our first batch of pumpkin bread. This recipe comes from a cookbook that I got from Sharyn Davidson. I worked for this wonderful woman and hew sweet family when I was in school at FSU. She is an amazing cook!!

E requested it (because I refuse to buy him those mini-muffins because him and Caroline eat so many of them and it wasn't cost effective lol). He panicked mid way through and said "wait--is this like Grandma's bread??" I laughed. Nothing tastes as good as Grandma Barb's pumpkin bread. E wanted to help and decided we should add some chocolate chips. We added some chocolate chips to a few loaves and it got rave reviews!

Legoland

We took the kids to Legoland last weekend in Winter Haven. To say E loved it would be an understatement. We rode every coaster about 5 times. The wait times were about 5 minutes! It's a perfect theme park for younger kids. We would get off the ride and then get back on! Highly recommend it. Caroline couldn't do much, but enjoyed running around!

Caroline Elise

This little girl definitely loves life! She loves to dance, clap, climb, and play with her brother's toys (only allowed when he's either consumed with something else or he's not home). She is happy most of the time and makes our family whole! I love that I get the chance to stay at home with her and spend some time alone with her while brother is at school. Love her :)

Fun at the Brewery

Saturday we met up with some friends at The Green Bench Brewery is St. Pete. It was such a cool place. They had lots of beers and ciders (which I am into these days). I drank a peach cider and my friend Lauren drank a kumquat cider. Both were yummy! They had a huge outdoor area for the kids to run around and play. Afterwards, we went to a burger place called Engine 9. It was good. Kind of dark inside, but good food. They had no high chairs and no milk ( a must for Caroline these days), but they had a TV at our table so she sat in her stroller and hung out.

Starting them Young

So E has started to help around the house more. Before, his "chores" were to clear his plate after meals and put his clothes in the dirty hamper. Yesterday, I was unloading the dish washer and he asked to help (I almost fell over). He did a good job, We also have a mini vacuum and he can vacuum up his messes after he plays and eats. Hopefully this keeps up!

First Day of School

E had his first day of VPK yesterday! I can't believe it :( He is growing up so fast! He was excited to go and excited to come home. He didn't elaborate much....but he wanted to go back so I will take it.

Family Calendar

So we are back to school and its Fall...which means a super busy time for our family. I ordered a magnetic calendar and bought some expo markers (which if anyone knows me I love office supplies). I am super excited to have our family calendar!!

Zuchini and Turkey Meatballs

I have started to replace pasta with zucchini noodles (only make them for myself..hubby and kiddos still eat pasta). They are so yummy! I have made them several times and this time I think I may have figured it out. I use a spiralizer to make them noodle like. There are 2 setting-small and large. Tonight I did them small and liked it much better. After I use the spiralizer, I lie them on paper towel so they can lose the excess water. After a little bit, I cook them. I cooked them in a cast iron skillet and they were so yummy!

I paired the zoodles with turkey meatballs. I got the "kind of" recipe from my sister, Nicole. I used ground turkey meat, garlic, Italian seasoning, grated Parmesan cheese, and an egg. I use lots of garlic and seasoning since turkey can be bland. I mixed this together and rolled them into meatballs. I cooked them for 15 minutes at 400 degrees. I then poured the sauce into a pan and threw the meatballs in so they can get more flavor. They were delish :)

Quick and easy dinner. Family approved.

It's Been a Looonnnggg Time....

Hey everyone! I am back. It has about 2.5 years since my last post. Sorry!! I was living life, having another baby, working, you know important stuff :) A lot has changed since we last talked. We moved to Nocatee, had a baby girl, sold our homes, Eddy got a new job, I quit mine, and we moved to Sarasota! Did I mention we had another baby? Her name is Caroline Elise. She joined our family April 8, 2015. She was 9 pounds, 8 oz (yikes!). She is sweet and sassy. She climbs and stomps her feet when she doesn't get her way...it has started already.
Sweet Caroline :)
E is almost 4.5! He starts VPK tomorrow! I can't believe it. Time has flown by. I don't who is more excited, me or him?? I am excited because I love school!! And I will also get to spend some time with my little girl.
E loves golf...just like daddy!
Eddy got a new job which allows me to stay at home. I retired at 32 from teaching. It's funny, I always said I wanted to retire early. Lol. I miss my Jacksonville friends so much, but look forward to the friendships I will make here. I have joined a moms group! Lots of play dates and moms nights out.

I have been working out a lot (yay!!) and cooking more. I hope to post more about cooking and crafts. Until next time--have a great Tuesday!
