My Tampa Girls!!

Whenever we go home, I always try to make it to Tampa to see my faves-Amber, Shelby, and Val, but normally there's never enough time. I went home for a week over the holiday and was able to see them twice!! We went to dinner to celebrate Amber's engagement..so happy for her and Scott! We also went to see Ambers new house and met up with Val and Jeff for lunch! Love seeing them!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

So I realized I haven't blogged in awhile, but then I realized how busy the holidays are for us! We traveled to Tallahassee go thanksgiving, then we headed to Orlando for a family trip, and then I headed home for Christmas. It has been so busy!!

Christmas was great! E got a lot of cool presents and we spent time with our families. Here are some pics :)

E can recognize Santa from far away...lol (we went and saw Santa but he didn't like it) but he doesn't quite understand. He sure did like unwrapping presents this year! Next year will be awesome!

My First Piece of Merry Mail

It's that time of year and I love the sign I made for all the Christmas cards we get. We got our first piece the other day!

Sick Baby :(

E was not feeling well Monday night and had a high fever. He was just laying there and if you know him, then you know he's sick when he stays still!

Arts and Crafts

While in Tallahassee, we did some arts and crafts with the boys. It turned out so cute!!

Life Lately

It's been almost a month!!! Sorry we have been so busy with holidays and traveling. We went to Tallahassee for Thanksgiving. It was so nice! My sister cooked and it was yummy! I also ran in a 10k and made it the whole way!!! It was so nice getting together with the family :)

Cousins!!

E loved hanging out with Pierson and Bryce!! They were so cute!

Eric got married!

One of our friends (I met him through Eddy and Eddy has known him since middle school) got married this weekend. The ceremony was so sweet! They wrote their own vows and they were so cute! The reception was beautiful! Yaneisy planned it all and she has impeccable taste! We also got to see some other friends that we don't get to see a lot!  It was a good time!

Happy Halloween!!

Soooo E is going through a stage (we hope) where he does not want anything on his head. We had a super cute duck costume (he loves ducks). But it had a hat thing, but was not going to wear it. So since we had a tux, I thought of why not James Bond! It worked and everyone loved it!!! He did really good trick or treating too. He didn't say trick or treat, but he went to doors and definitely helped himself when people let him pick the candy!

Karlie got married!!

My bff got married this weekend! We were lucky to be apart of her big day (baby E was too). He was the ring bearer and we were nervous on whether or not he would walk down, but he did great! Karlie looked absolutely stunning and her groom Abe was very handsome. It was a beautiful ceremony followed an awesome reception. The food was delicious and for the cake, they got a food truck and you were able to select what cupcake you wanted. It was such a cool concept. It was a great night and we wish them nothing but the best!

Say cheese!!

The other night I had an event at school so I was late for dinner. I brought home Publix subs and they were delicious! E climbed up on my lap and ate half of my sub (which is rare for him). We then took a picture! He has now learned to say cheese!

Happy Halloween

They do arts and crafts at daycare a lot. When I pick him up and she shows me his work, it makes my day! He's quite the artist!

My Little Reader

E LOVES to read!!! This is an understatement.....he's addicted!! Which by the way, we could not be more happy about. He will grab a book, say "read", and then plop down in your lap. His favorite book is "How Does a Dinosaur Say Merry Christmas." One night, he woke up at 2:30am, was bouncing in his bed saying "read, read!"

Just like Daddy

E is in a wedding this weekend and has to wear a tux (has been a process, but he is getting better when we put it on). Eddy's parents sent us a picture from when he wore a tux. Any resemblance?

My Little Man!!!

E has been growing up so fast! At his 18 month appointment, he was in the 90th percentile and for weight! He's a big boy! He is talking up a storm...some of his favorite phrases are--let's go, all done, get down, sit down (we think he hears get down and sit down a lot at daycare..lol).

He's still a good eater! He still loves broccoli and bananas! But when he eats a banana now, he has to hold it. So big!

It's been awhile....

It has been almost a month since I have blogged!! Sorry!! I am teaching science only this year and have 67 friends!! It's alot....but they are doing really well. All is going well here. Baby E is doing great and growing like a wild man! At his 18 month appointment, he weighed 29.5 pounds and was 33.5 inches tall! The 90th percentile for height and weight! Here are some recent photos. His new thing is to put Mickey in his high chair...so silly!

Burlap Wreath

So I decided to make my next wreath a burlap wreath. I got burlap (1 roll, I think the brand was Ashland, it's from Michaels). It was about maybe 6 inches wide. I got an iron wreath, wooden letters, 2 kinds of ribbon, and 2 spider accents. I already had black spray paint and a glue gun.

I did some research and this blog had the best tutorial on how to make a burlap wreath: Texas Cottage Blog. I finished that in like 10 minutes and you can fluff and pull to get it to look the way you want. I then spray painted the letters and let them dry.

Next was the bow...I am not the best at making bows, but I am pretty good at researching ways to make them. Lol. This site has the quickest and easiest way to make a bow. She also has tons of others arts and crafts and ideas and tutorials!! Check out her blog....it's pretty much amazing!! Sew Many Ways. The tails of my bow were long, so I cut them off and looped them, and glued them to the back of my bow.

Once the letters were dry and the bow was dry, I decided it was time to glue. The final product turned out pretty good. I'm pleased and cannot wait to make another one.

Please check out the 2 blogs I referenced. They are awesome blogs with lots of great ideas!!

Eddy's Art

So E has been bringing home some art from daycare (sooo cute!!). He also made me a Mother's Day card. I wanted to come up with a way to display his work and found myself on Pinterest (if you know me this is not shocking lol). I found a cute way to display his art by painting wooden frames and gluing clothespins to the top so I can swap out his art when he makes me new stuff. Love :)

I love doing arts and crafts!!

So my new thing lately has been doing arts and crafts. I have made 2 wreaths and love them both. The first one I made, I used felt to make flowers and used twine to wrap the T.

The second one I made, I used burlap. It was much easier than I thought. I made the bow (super easy) and spray painted the letters. The spider accents I bought already decorated. I got all of these things from Michaels. (And for a good price too!)

College Football is Here!!

So college football is back and I'm super stoked!! I went to the gym this morning and had a good workout. Then me and E went to Panera for breakfast. When we got home I tried to put him down for a a nap (apparently I didn't get the memo that he wasn't tired) and he ended up crying for 20 minutes. I got him and some toys to come and hang out while I showered. So when I was getting ready (was going to meet Eddy to watch football), E decided to re-decorate our bathroom. He kept himself occupied and I was able to get ready. Sammy (E's fave sitter) came over for a few hours so we could go out for a bit. He loves her and gave her a hug before she left :) Too cute!

So Handsome

E's hair grows so fast and it's thick. We take him to the same girl (Donetta..shes amazing!!) that Eddy goes too. He cries the whole time and always has to sit in Dad's lap. Well today he was a big boy and sat in the chair on a booster seat. He still cried the whole time, but we had a small victory today! Here are some pics...before, during, and after.
